Make 16 review questions from previous lessons or memory verses. Before class begins, use masking tape to create a grid on the floor. The grid should be four squares by four squares for a total of 16 squares. Cut eight red and eight black circles out of construction paper. Make or buy a beanbag.
When the children are ready to play, divide them into two teams. The goal is to get four circles in a row. The first team throws the beanbag into the grid. Then they are asked a question. If it is answered correctly, they can place a circle of their color in the square where the beanbag sits. Then play goes to the next team. This continues until one team has four in a row. If this does not happen, there is no winner.
You can decide if the team works together to answer or not. Usually it works best if they can work together, because this eliminates the problem created by placing a particular child “on the spot.” However, if your class is pretty good at review games, consider having each kid answer individually.
